ECONOMIC GROWTH: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS
Kuwait is a fairly rich country in which citizens have a very high per capita income. After a modest recovery in 2018, Kuwait’s economic growth slowed to 0,4% in 2019 as oil production declined and global hydrocarbon prices fell as a result. In 2020, the country’s economic growth falls to the mark (–8,1%), while IMF analysts predict a recovery in growth to 0.7% in 2021 and to 3,2% in 2022.
Years of low oil prices have forced the government of Kuwait to almost use up its cash reserves, while the brewing political standoff has prevented it from borrowing on international markets. Kuwait provides a comfortable existence for 90% of local citizens who receive government wages, along with generous benefits and subsidies, from cheap electricity and gasoline to free health care and education. However, the COVID–19 pandemic, falling oil prices and a liquidity crisis forced the government to speak seriously about the crisis in the country for the first time. Thus, the Minister of Finance of Kuwait announced that soon the government would not be able to pay salaries, and the Central Bank of Kuwait in its reports indicated that the country’s budget deficit could reach 40% of GDP, which is the highest since financial losses as a result of Iraq’s invasion in 1990 and the subsequent Gulf War.
In modern conditions, one of the directions of national policy is to overcome the existing imbalances of mesorevelopment. The reduction of existing gaps is possible due to the implementation of a competent policy within the regions, taking into account the existing territorial features. The paper proposes an approach to the comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the activities of the subjects of the Russian Federation based on the ranking procedure.
The article examines the trends of innovative activity of the territories of the Russian Federation in the conditions of digitalization. A number of indicators characterizing the innovation potential of federal districts and the level of digitalization of organizations in the country are presented. Rosstat data were used for the analysis. Using the method of correlation and regression analysis, a high relationship was revealed between the indicators of internal costs in these areas of the economy. The resulting coefficient of determination indicates good approximation accuracy.
The article considers the problem of assessing the processes of digitalization in regional socio>economic systems. The formation of the approach to analysis was formed from the hypothesis of the continuity of two spheres: digitalization and science. The assessment tool was formed on the basis of objective statistical data presented in official statistics. As part of the work, indicators were formed designed to comprehensively describe both voiced areas. The approbation was carried out in the context of the subjects of the Central Federal District for the period 2014–2020. A graphical interpretation of the obtained results based on the construction of scattering diagrams was also proposed. As a result, aggregates of regions were identified according to the obtained values of the formed indicators.
Structural transformations in the external and internal environment of production and economic systems at the present stage affect almost all areas of their activities. They are especially acute in the implementation of innovative processes, due to the key characteristics of their essence. The composition, relations structure, interaction directions and ensuring patterns the possibility and implementation effectiveness of these processes are changing rapidly and significantly. Article describes the role of infrastructure support in the implementation of innovative processes, the implementation of which is necessary to increase the competitiveness of the state in the conditions of the modern world economy. Various interpretations of the concept of innovation infrastructure proposed by domestic and foreign authors are considered. The features of the innovation infrastructure in the modern conditions of a changing and poorly predictable environment are highlighted: network nature, developed information environment, functioning in the conditions of the knowledge economy, in>depth specialization, the use of informal networks of innovative culture. Based on the trends of transformation of the external environment and the subjects themselves, the tasks of developing innovative infrastructure at the regional level are highlighted. The subject of the research in the article is the possibilities of infrastructural support of innovative processes. The results of the study are to identify the importance of the information environment, its structure and functioning features to ensure the effectiveness of the implementation of innovative processes at the present stage. The authors have substantiated various dynamic transformations taking place within the innovation infrastructure and leading to its transformation.
Today the Northern Sea Route is an international trade route, a space for the movement of freight traffic between the markets of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. The growth of traffic along the Northern Sea Route is associated, among other things, with climate change and global warming, which has been going on for several decades. Researchers note the possible negative and positive consequences of the global warming process for the economy and the environment. Russia plays a leading role in ensuring the security of the Northern Sea Route and reliable and effective control over sea spaces and coastlines.
Innovation is the first driver of development. The integration of the payment industry and mobile operations, the Internet, e–commerce, and other industries has created new opportunities for innovation and the development of payment services. Banking financial institutions, being the main part of the payment services market, assume the role of the main provider of non>cash payment services. The integration of non–cash payment instruments and bank management functions continues to deepen, and industry applications are becoming more mature. Through cooperation and exchange between China and Russia, as well as the development of the cultural economy, tourism, trade and other areas, Russia has adopted such Chinese non–cash payment methods as Alipay, WeChat and UnionPay. This has played an active role in improving the diversification of the transaction channels of two peoples, as well as in personalization and simplification of payment instruments, and it is very consistent with the requirements of convenience and efficiency of modern payments.
The article provides information on the current state of development of financial inclusion in the conditions of the domestic economy. The purpose of the study is to consider the theoretical aspects and problems of providing opportunities for obtaining financial products. The given data testify to the expansion of access to financial services for the population and entrepreneurs. The study is aimed at identifying the main directions for increasing the level of financial inclusion.
INDUSTRY SECTOR AS THE BASIS OF THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY
The article sets the task of disclosing the conduct of a financial investigation. Particular attention is paid to the procedure for determining the amount of damage that was caused to an economic entity. It is concluded what conditions are necessary to determine the amount of damage caused to an economic entity.
The article considers the possibility of making managerial decisions to achieve targets based on the analysis of the financial condition. The author, based on the analysis of the financial condition of the organization, assessing the importance of the liquidity and solvency of the enterprise and its positive impact on the achievement of production plans, determines the directions of a qualitative assessment of the current situation, the possibility of timely identification of resource management problems, including the effectiveness of their use and placement. The stability of the financial condition and its stability depend on the results of financial activity. As a result of the use of forecasting methods, a forecast of the values of liquidity coefficients is presented on the example of LLC «Techprogress».
The digitalization of the economy and all economic entities is now extremely global; at the moment it is the most significant force changing the world economy. For this reason, most modern companies use various information technologies, and even entire digital business models. Audit firms have to adapt to this process by changing audit methods. The purpose of the article is to identify changes in existing audit methods that have occurred due to the global digitalization and automation of the activities of most companies.
Passenger transportation by river vessels plays an important role for the mobility of the population, especially in remote areas. Considering the social significance of river transport the state provides it with comprehensive support. State support measures include the development of waterway infrastructure and subsidizing river ports, especially in the northern regions of the country.
SMALL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Against the background of the development of economic relations in Russia, the requirements for the financial statements of the organization are currently increasing. The reporting information provides an overview of the financial position and results of the organization in order to improve the efficiency of business decisions. The directions of further development of the accounting and reporting system are disclosed in the concept of the development of accounting and reporting in the Russian Federation for the medium term. In many ways, the quality of accounting and reporting information is determined by principles that not only form the theoretical basis, but also provide practical guidance for action. Key financial indicators depend on their use; they serve as a basis for creating reliable information that is as clear as possible to a wide range of users.
SOCIO–CULTURAL ASPECTS BUSINESS ACTIVITY
In the modern economy, the human capital of an organization and intellectual capital are interchangeable. The quality of human capital (education, knowledge, innovation) affects the capacity of the enterprise and its development. On the basis of knowledge–based resources, a hypothesis of the interaction of human capital and the innovativeness of the organization has been developed. Human capital is an integral part of innovative development and innovation activity.
The article presents the essence of the social responsibility of business in modern economic conditions. The levels of social responsibility, potential principles for the implementation of social responsibility, the main participants and stakeholders, directions of distribution and prospects for further development are considered. In addition, the article defines business tasks that help solve projects in the field of corporate social responsibility.
The article actualizes the problem of managing youth football in Russia. The author from an original point of view examines the successful foreign experience of managing youth football on the example of Germany, England, Brazil in the context of the development of mass character through the use of digital technologies and franchises. At the end of the article, a theoretical analysis is summarized, aspects are outlined that, in the author’s opinion, can be borrowed from foreign experience for their adaptation in the management process of Russian football academies or schools.
